The hearings were fascinating and exhilarating! The consensus was clear that regarding Sales & Use Taxes, physical presence should no longer be used as the metric for determination of nexus, and that the Streamlined effort is “ready and waiting” for federal action.
They also discussed nexus related to business activity taxes, telecommunications taxes, and mobile workers – but those other nexus intensive issues are off-topic for our purposes here.
Fascinating!
